Between losing my mom several years ago and experiencing the grief of pregnancy loss, Mother’s Day is definitely not my favourite day of the year, and the constant bombardment of reminders leading up to it always gets me down – but this Mother’s Day weekend I found two awesome sewing related things that take a bit of the sting out of May 13th that all of us seamstresses and crafty people can enjoy!
Butterick/McCall’s/Simplicity/Vogue 2018 Mother’s Day Giveaway
Open worldwide, with the chance to win some amazing prizes, including a Spiegel 60609 sewing machine, a Reliable Aria 350SP Steam Press, loads of sewing notions, a one year subscription to Vogue Patterns Magazine, sewing patterns, and tons more! This giveaway looks awesome – I’ve already entered and I hope you all do too!
The Craftsy Mother’s Day Free Weekend Watchathon
From now through Sunday you can access Craftsy Unlimited and stream every single Craftsy class for free! Though I will be spending Sunday/Mother’s Day at Comiccon (best distraction ever!), I’m going to cram as many sewing classes into the next two days as possible, in between all of my Comiccon prep! 😉
Happy (early) Mother’s Day to all of you awesome moms out there celebrating Mother’s Day this weekend! And happy sewing to all the bad ass seamstresses – whether you’re a mom or not! 😉
