Plus Size Vintage Sewing & Fashion Resources! <3

This post has been in the works for quite awhile now! In the past (and more recently) I’ve heard from other vintage loving gals about how hard it can be to find vintage clothing or sewing patterns if you are plus sized. I would look around to see if there was a list of resources that I could easily direct people to, but couldn’t find one (if you know of one, please let me know!), so I decided to make one myself. This list includes vintage (whether true vintage or vintage inspired/reproduction) clothing and sewing resources that cater to or at least include plus sizes.

I believe that everyone should feel comfortable in their own skin and express themselves with whatever style they like. Fashion and sewing should be fun and accessible and there shouldn’t be barriers for anyone to join in on that fun! Society dictates that we all wear clothes anyway, so why not wear clothes that make us feel happy, comfortable and beautiful? I hope this list helps some people out! โค

So far this is just a very basic list, but it will be added to from time to time! If you know of any good resources, please let me know and I will make sure to include them in the list!

Vintage Inspired/Reproduction Clothing:

It seems the majority of vintage inspired/repro brands include sizes up to 4XL, so I won’t be listing all of them here (just yet anyway!) but I will include a nice range. Note that there can be sizing differences from brand to brand, so make sure to measure yourself and check the individual size charts! If you are just starting out wearing vintage inspired/reproduction clothing, reading reviews for brands that are new to you is also great for finding out if a particular brand’s clothing tends to run large or small. With many of these brands I will include notes on sizing, etc.

    • Thank you, Cate! ๐Ÿ™‚

I would post the list on FB, but I actually swore off Facebook and other social media platforms (other than blogs, obviously) a few years back and deleted any accounts I had. But others are more than welcome to post the list or link to it! ๐Ÿ™‚
