I’ve yet to personally own any Marian Martin sewing patterns, but there are a number that are high up on my wish list! I found these gorgeous reproduction 1930’s and 1940’s Marian Martin sewing patterns while browsing The Vintage Pattern Store (tvpstore) on Etsy, and just had to share them with you for some beautiful 30’s/40’s fashion and sewing inspiration!
All image credits for this post go to tvpstore, if you are interested in the patterns, you can click on the links for each to be taken directly to their page on the shop. 🙂
First from the 1930’s, 9913, size 18:
I love the detailing on this dress! So chic!
Next, also from the 1930’s and in a size 18, 9511:
Ugh, I LOVE this pattern, and the illustration! Everything about this is just to die for! Okay, I’ll admit it, I kind of want to be the girl in the illustration right now. I can’t be the only one who has ever felt the way, can I? (Crickets)
And another from the 1930’s, in a size 48″ bust, 9764:
I just love the various design features of 1930’s sewing patterns, the art deco lines, the beautiful drape of the fabric…the 1930’s were such a beautiful time in fashion history!
And now, from the 1940’s, 9064 in a 48″ bust:
Lovely detailing on the shoulders and the puffed sleeves!
And last off, 9429 in a 38″ bust:
So chic it hurts!
It’s probably a very good thing that none of these patterns would fit me right off the bat, or I would have a very sad bank account right now! But I just had to share the gorgeousness with you all! Have you ever used a Marian Martin sewing pattern? Do you like them? I’d love to hear from you!
